We asked our readers about their favorite concert experience. This is what they shared with us!
“My most memorable was a Post Malone concert a few years ago. I was gifted enough tickets to bring my best friends. The set was so creative and energetic. The range of music indulged every emotion. It was something I waited a long time for, and thankful for how wonderful it turned out.”
— Madysen Lewis, Montana
“In 2019, I had some plans change that meant I wasn’t able to go see my favorite band, Rainbow Kitten Surprise. I was super sad because I had been looking forward to it for a while and it was out of nowhere. I had been online in the Hippo Campus fandom for a few years and the people in my online friend group at the time knew how sad this made me. They, and a few others in the fandom, all pitched in to upgrade my RKS ticket to VIP which included a meet and greet. I quickly made crochet dolls that resembled the band and they loved them. They also seemed to recognize me from the first show I brought them some crochet rainbow kittens. That show truly changed my life.I heard their song “Heart” for the first time at this show because it was unreleased. Every time I hear it now, I think about that concert and my friends that made it happen. I realized how important fandoms are and how special friends can be. Years later, I am modding for an RKS fan server and have gotten to foster a community like the one that brought me so much joy in the Hippo Campus fandom on Twitter.”
— Isa Gonzalez, College Station
“Game of Thrones concert. I loved the accompaniment of the show scenes, 4-D sensations like leaves falling, flames burning, wind, etc. It added a whole immersive experience to the music, and was incredible.”
— Marie Israel, Houston
