Behind The Camera & Behind The Scenes

Two best friends who met in a traditional darkroom photography class in undergrad at the University of Houston talked endlessly about pop culture and live music. Our similarities brought us close but the music aligned our souls together. The inspiration of music magazines (ex. Tiger Beat, BOP, Teen Vogue, Alt Press, DORK) and the influence of coming of age films, made us realize the important impact of belonging and how that raised us.

With The Band is a dedicated music magazine based in Houston, Texas that encourages fans to support local artists, share their concert experiences and making friendships along the way. The inclusion of our readers submissions highlights the fans by directly interacting with us. Much like 60s magazines where fans submitted questions to The Beatles, the members answered them and were printed on the publication. We want to do that too, by giving you an all access pass to your favorite bands and artists.

Without the fans, the possibility of bands ever touring wouldn’t exist. We are part of a community that uplifts and engages with creatives in support of their artistry. Our mission is to capture everything from behind the scenes to the stage and the aftershow. Additionally, we want to highlight underground rising artists who are ready to make their breakout.
